Seventy-Seven: Immortal Enemies
The beginning will be told from Hunter’s POV. Then when the black picture turns up, it’ll switch to Kat’s POV.

You don’t treat your daughter like that, Vaclav. Particularly when she’s pregnant. Some things never change, because you’re still a piece of shit.
Hunter headed to the manor with one goal in mind: to take Kat away from her shitty home life.
I never should’ve allowed her to go home after leaving Misty Peaks. Never.
Don’t worry, Kat. I’ll protect you… forever. I won’t let your POS father hurt you ever again.
He threw open the doors, busting the deadbolt in the process. A massive, resounding noise ensued as the doors banged against the exterior.
Brazenly, Hunter stepped through the threshold.
I don’t give a fuck who hears me. I don’t give a fuck who sees me. I’m here, and yeah, I’m coming for your daughter. Good luck in stopping me.
He mounted the steps leading to Kat’s bedroom on the second floor.
Shuffling came from behind. Fuck you Vaclav. I know it’s you. I smell your centuries-old bitterness and hatred.
Hunter felt whitish glowing eyes on him, peering at him, cursing him.
Well go ahead. Try and stop me. Smirking, Hunter proceeded down the hallway.
“Don’t,” Vaclav said.
Hunter reached for the knob but hesitated. His hand fell back to his side.
Hunter pivoted to face the immortal enemy. The one he’d despised for the last fifteen years. The one he’d always wanted to kill but could not.
It’d been Vaclav’s face that flashed in his mind when he attacked Omega and tore out his throat. In those few seconds he believed Omega was Vaclav, while Kat was Aubrey. It was that scenario all over again. Those old feelings drove him to a murderous, animalistic rage.
“You already popped her cherry, as they say. What are you back here for? A repeat performance?” Vaclav chuckled. “You wish you could pop it twice.”
Hunter started for him.
“Indeed,” Vaclav said holding his glare. “Let’s see how tough you are when you aren’t the hairy beast.”
“Let’s,” Hunter agreed mocking Vaclav’s accent.
Hunter clocked Vaclav, sending him careening down the stairs.
His backside slammed onto the steps, then the floor. He gasped and groaned.
Hunter wasn’t finished yet. He was having too much fun.
Got another gift for you, my future father-in-law.
Hunter clutched Vaclav’s hair and wrenched him upright. Then he repeatedly punched his face.
“Did you know you scared the crap out of Kat?” Hunter snarled pummeling him. “Do you even give a flying fuck?”
Punch. Smack. Punch. Clobber.
“Reznik!”
His son entered the room. Hunter didn’t acknowledge him.
Punch.
“Do a spell! Get this mother fucker off me!”
“You put a spell on me, and I’ll decorate the front lawn with your balls and intestines.”
“Do it, Reznik!” Vaclav said.
Reznik thrust his hands forward. Nothing happened… yet.
“Shit,” he said.
A sphere of light erupted and grew.
That incredible ball of light floated above Reznik, its power flourishing.
It shot forward, dissipated as it hit Hunter and threw him back.
Reznik’s eyes challenged Hunter, as if answering his earlier warning regarding lawn decor.
Now Hunter couldn’t move. He was stuck in some sitting position.
Fuck. Fuck, fuck, fuck.
Silence. It was the calm before the… yeah.
Vaclav’s foot drilled him beneath the jaw. Thunderclaps of agony ignited in his brain as he lurched upright, and sank back to the floor.
Ouch.
Vaclav crouched and began verbally torturing him.
“God help me, I’ll make sure you never see Kat again.” He laughed. “You’ll never see her children either. I won’t let you taint their souls with your presence.”
“I should’ve killed you after you fucked my wife. Instead I let you live, and now you’re fucking my daughter.” He paused. “Well now I’m going to fuck YOU.”
Vaclav hurled punches at him.
Oh, the hell of payback.
Oh. My. God.
“Do something, Reznik! Why are you just standing here watching?”
“What do you want me to do? He’s my dad. I’m sorry but I won’t betray him.”
Kat spun around.
“Stop hurting him!” She grabbed his arm. It was completely useless. Vaclav easily reached down and pulled a huge knife from his pocket.
She wasn’t going to stop him from doing anything.
“Kat, get back to your room!”
“No!” She jerked on his arm.
Vaclav dropped on top of Hunter, pushed his head back to get a clear view of his neck.
Oh, my God! He’s going to cut off his fucking head!
“Daddy no! No, no! Please Daddy don’t hurt him! No, no, no, no, no!”
“My babies won’t have a father… and they’re not even born yet!” Kat sobbed.
“I’m not a baby anymore,” she cried. “You have to accept it! Just… please accept it.”
Vaclav rose up.
“What have we become?” His grip loosened on the knife. It tumbled to the floor, clattering.
He turned to Kat, then enclosed her inside his arms.
Suddenly it was so quiet…
Maybe too quiet?
“I’m sorry, Kat. I didn’t mean to scare you. I love you so much. I don’t want to lose you. You’re my only daughter.” He kissed the area above her left eye.
She sniffled.
“Uh, Dad—”
Reznik tried to warn him but it was too late.
Hunter reached out and grasped Vaclav’s ankle. Then he yanked back.
Vaclav lost his balance, plowed into his daughter. They fell to the floor.
Vaclav’s body smashed into Kat’s stomach.
“Oh, my God… oh Christ,” he cried.
Kat wasn’t moving. Darkness claimed her as familiar voices faded in and out.
He leaped to her side and began shaking her. “Wake up, Kat. Are you alright?”
Weakly, she raised her forearm.
Hunter’s voice sounded far away as he said: “Oh, no… I didn’t mean to do it. I’m so sorry. I didn’t know she was right there! I didn’t mean to do it!”

note: Aubrey isn’t in the scene because I didn’t want her to be in the way. You could just say she was in the basement heavily sleeping. She’ll show up in the next chapter.

Hunter was serious! Went in there to declare war and damn if he wasn’t kicking Vaclav’s ass before hot ass Rez came in and save him. I could so hear Hunter mocking Vaclav in that accent and it gave me chills! Jeez that was sexy!

lol, i was ranting about how Vaclav finally matured and acted like an adult, and Hunter then tries to trip him even though Vaclav stopped himself from killing him, trying to fight him again…he’s like “it wasnt’t my fault! i didn’t see you hugging! It’s Vaclav’s fault! HE was standing there! He didn’t move! It’s not my fault! I didn’t do it!” lol…and I found it ironic how V admitted he just didnt want to lose Kat and now he just may…and I’m sure that the pose where he is falling is one you used in a few sex scenes XD oh and i said that of course Aubrey would be heavily sleeping in the basemnt

Yes, Aubrey is a heavy sleeper, haha. Plus, I didn’t want her in the way, just wan’t any reason for her to be in the scene. Plus it gets to be too cheesy if too many characters are there and being all dramatic and stuff. LOL

I’ve had my mind changed about pets.. mostly because of the horses. *blushes*
I have to say they’ve thought of everything with the traits and types of horses and dogs and cats. The graphics aren’t as bad as I had thought.
I hate to say it, but I’m actually quite looking forward to it :L

Oh, so you didn’t have any issue with the demo?? Hmmm. I at least need to try it out before buying the EP, but still afraid. On the forums some people spoke about ways to ensure it doesn’t mess with your game, but I’m a nOOb and still worry about it. I know what you mean. I’ve wanted horses since Sims 2. *sob, sniffle* so you’re not the only one. Me want!! Me want!! 😛
Yes, I have to agree. I think EA has done an excellent job with the game, it’s just the glitches I worry about. Granted, it’s not their fault if my graphics card can’t handle it either. That’s why I wish I could try out the demo, to see if my animals end up deformed (some peep’s graphics card couldn’t handle the demo, and sadly, I think it’d be the same way for the actual EP).
I do want it badly, especially now that I’ve made my RL house on my game. I really want to make my two cats, etc. 😦 But I should still wait it out…

I get a bit worried with EP’s as well, I’ve had to uninstall the whole Sims 3 game about four times because of glitches.
I’m going to get it, even if it does mess up my game. But then I don’t have an amazing story that I might lose or something!
No, the demo works absolutely fine with me. I’m not sure about graphic cards etc (I’m a bit slow :L) but since the demo works I’m more confident about getting the actual game.
And I knooooow! I want the horses more than anything else.

I’ve actually been lucky then, as I haven’t had to do an uninstall/reinstall. Hopefully I didn’t just jinx myself by saying that… anyhow, I finally got the idea to try and install that Pets demo on my daughter’s computer, as it has sims 3 on it too (up to maybe the third EP or something) and the graphics card on it is only a step down from the one in my laptop. That way I can get an idea of whether or not the EP will work on mine. Well, it’ll just be a general idea. But I know for a fact that if my daughter’s computer won’t glitch from the demo, it shouldn’t on mine since my video card is a little newer. What I mean is, some people had glitched looking pets on certain video cards, usually older ones, but still.
I’m really sorry you had to install/uninstall your game around 4 times due to stupid glitches. Hope it’s been running great now though.

That is awesome that you didn’t have any issue with the demo. Just means your graphics card must be up to par, along with your computer. And no, you’re not slow at all. I didn’t know shit about computers until I started playing Sims, and am STILL learning! Also, that’s what I’m saying, I think that if the demo works well on your system, the actual EP will too. On the flip side, if it doesn’t work well, the actual EP might not either… if a buncha computer geeks read this, they might get pissed off because I might not know what I’m talking about. But to me, it makes sense and seems logical, since the demo ties into the S3 game….

Normally I can’t d/l anything on her laptop (it’s messed up, I guess a virus did it, but otherwise it works OK) but it was always able to download sims 3 stuff for some reason.

LOL I didn’t figure you’d do that. Actually I think having a cameo of Liam in my story sometime would be cool. 😛 It was only a couple of people that did that, thankfully. But it was enough. Both stopped commenting/reading as soon as something happened to their characters. I was just trying to be nice (doormat) by putting their sim in my game.
*shrugs* won’t do it ever again.
If you look back several chapters, you’ll see the two I’m speaking of. One wanted Hunter to hook up with her…. simself in my story, but that was one time I said ‘no’ in a nice way, as I already had plans to hook him up with Kat…. >_>
Go figure. The first girl wasn’t so bad, but as soon as I killed off her character, she never commented since. And I even apologized to her at the end of that chapter. *shrugs again* that’s why I’ll never accept anyone else’s sims for my stories.
Never pays to be too nice. It was just something that had been bothering me off and on for months, finally it came to the surface. I’m writing out Xeri’s character from the story around chapter 83, and LOL, I have an awesome plot line planned for that as well. 😛 I’m not going to kill her off or anything though (although would it really matter? No matter what I’d do with the character, the creator would still get insulted).
It’s just petty shit. don’t ask (or hint) to put your character in my story if you’re going to get pissed off about any plot I think up for said character, for fuck’s sake. << of course that's not aimed at you… 😛

And about Pets, I finally downloaded the demo (after jumping through some flying hoops) and it worked on my graphics card, so I didn't have any distorted animals. I was worried about that, because some people's graphics card couldn't handle the demo. It's one step toward buying the EP, so I was happy about that. 🙂

As for me, I am getting some requests about uploading some characters. I think I’m going to do that case by case. You know some people you trust more than others.

LOL I hear you about your computer blowing up. I'm afraid of the same thing. Seems compatible with my graphics card though, since I tried the demo… I'm still going to wait a few days. I'm sure your computer can handle it, since it's only a yr. old. Mine's around 15 months old.
On a side note, I wanna get a Dell desktop someday. 😀 One for gaming, if possible.

I was just wondering about your note because I always assumed that it’s the other way around. You know, people asking if they can have one of your characters for their story, legacy, whatever. I’ve never seen it this way.
I will probably email Sims from Spellbound to some people who were asking, but not have a separate download page up like on my other blog. I uploaded my avi for a blogger who was doing a collab and planned some form of ‘baby shower’ with simselves in attendance. But then I had people ‘steal’ the link and telling me afterwards, “oh yeah, I’m gonna use him for whatever, winkwink, double entendre”. I really don’t mind bloggers I’m in contact with on a regular basis via emails or comments do that. There’s that trust, I guess. But when it’s someone you don’t really know yet, and they don’t know how to ask politely, then I mind. LOL, I email you Liam when I get the chance.
Never had a Dell, but I started out on a Mac till it broke and lack of finances forced me to go PC. My Toshiba laptop is great but kinda bulky. And I just recently saw that it’s actually to slow to play SIms but it worked so far.
I get grumpy in the mornings, I need coffee. I always try to quit but I’m so hooked now that I get headaches when I don’t have coffee. Of course, when I’m tired and hungry…mega grumpy. Oh, and when people take out their frustration, anger, whatever on me when I’m just minding my own business.
I can’t watch that video without cracking up. Watched it over and over, and it’s still funny! 🙂
Oh, yeah. People DO ask sometimes for Vaclav, Hunter, Kat or whatnot, and yeah it’s a little bit of a pain to upload them, however it’s different, because they go to someone ELSE’S game to do with as they wish, so they’re not trying to control MY story. So I’m usually OK with that. Like I said, most of my readers are just awesome, and the best. It’s only one or two that get on my nerves every few months.
Interesting that you’ve never seen anyone ask/hint to put their sim in another’s story. I have seen story makers ASK for sims from others, and then they pick and choose who they want. But yeah, I’ve been hinted at and showed sims by excited readers and such. Not even sure if they truly asked to put the sim in my story, now that I think about it.
I’ll have to look back a few chapters and see. Either way, it made me feel like they were ‘hinting’, you know.
Oh, well yeah that’s just insulting to steal the link, then mention it afterward. It’s better to ask, like you said. Meh, there’s just rude people everywhere, and entitled people. The entitlement really pisses me off, though, more than anything else. LOL I know I say I want your avie and I act entitled too, but I’m just mostly joking. I have a crazy sense of humor, and am crazy period. 😆 But again, stealing?? Then telling you afterward?

I just cannot believe she hasn’t bothered to comment in FOUR chapters (after commenting on every single one after I said I’d use her simself, of course, all the way up to the twist with her simself, the twist where it turned out her simself used Rez at first). And she hasn’t read this at all for about two chapters. Hahahaha. So yeah, no more trust for me either.
I already made a video where Rez and Xeri are still ‘together’ (that will be in chap 79), but around chapter 83, *spoiler* there will be a new woman. I already have the plot planned out on what’s going to happen, and why it happens, and it will ALL make perfect sense. Then Xeri will be history. I know that sounds mean, but I despise being used and I’ll tolerate the shit for a while, but eventually I will say something or do something. Turnabout is fair play. I worked VERY hard to work a plot line around this character, just for the simself creator to act like that. OK, sorry I’ll shut up now. Like I said, once I get started ranting/venting, I can’t stop.

Hahaha! You have a Toshiba too? That’s weird. My last two were Toshibas, have had decent luck with them for the most part. My newest Tosh is bulky too. So it’s too slow to play S3 you mean? Well that sucks. Mine has been laggy off and on too. I try to close out background processes and that helps. Sometimes I even set the priority level to high, but that makes it crash once in a while. 😛
Dude, I hate lack-of-caffeine-migraines. Those are the WORST. Seriously. But I know what you mean, I have to have coffee too when I first get up, but I only drink one cup. Used to be 2. I think one or 2 cups are OK. Do you drink too much of it? I’ve known some people who drink literally one or two pots a day! LOL. Talk about getting wired! XD

Come to think about it, I’ve participated in like a casting call for a legacy thing. At first, I didn’t want to do it because, as you said, it’s a pain to upload sims, but then the author encouraged me to participate so I thought ah why not. In the end she decided on someone else’s Sim, but wrote me very sweet email afterwards. She didn’t have to, because I wasn’t depressed or upset about it. Still sweet that she did. So when it’s people like that, I say, no problem.
LOL rant away! For me it’s most relatives that get on my nerves. Not really shocking. They are relatives. But in general, when people are having a bad day, or they are yelled at by their boss, and then I walk by, ask something or whatever, and they lash out at me… I think, hey, just because you have a bad day, don’t darken mine. I try to control myself when I have an off day, so they could do the same. And I ‘love’ family reunions, where you say something like “No, thank you Aunt Bebe, I really don’t like pickles,” and the response is: “Well you’re so picky with food. If you weren’t so picky it wouldn’t have taken you so long to find your major, and now you would have already a wife and kids for crying out loud! I feel sorry for your future wife and children.”
And all that just because Auntie had a bad day with Uncle John. I’m paraphrasing of course, but something like that I cannot stand!
Well, I drink half a cup in the morning, but when I’m out and have a chance to sit somewhere in a cafe, I have another cup. I recently “discovered” espresso or double espresso for me. XD I never drank that because I like cream and sugar in my coffee, but that stuff is great! I don’t really feel the difference between the regular espresso and a double, but it makes me feel all suave and Italian. ahahahaha.
You ever had that when you are really tired, but don’t want to admit it, so you go to the fridge and can’t find anything to eat, so you go back to the TV and after an hour flipping through the channels you go back to the fridge (instead of to bed) and think maybe now there is magically something in there that entices me? Well, maybe that’s
just me. 🙂

They need to just get over themselves and their stupid rivalry. Really it all boils down to Hunter’s past relationship with Aubrey, and so now V’s pissed that H is with Kat. O_O Not to mention the Shadows and Haases never really got along…. but yes, they’re both stupid, and it’s both their faults that this happened (although technically Hunter caused the accident). I get what you’re saying about Hunter too. You’ll really see how much Kat looks like Aubrey once I have her grow into a YA. The resemblance is insane! But he really does love her. I suppose a part of him does still see Aubrey in her, but Hunter does love Kat for who she is. Even though Hunter is a jerk anymore. 😛

AAAHHH! OMG!!! What a battle, but the ending!!! Kat lost the babies, noooo!!! Well I’m sure that’s what all that blood meant – if they survived that, I don’t know how they did. That sucks! Time to read the last chapter and I’ll be all caught up!
I do wonder though, do Rez and Kat age all the way until they get old and die? Or do they live forever, because they’re dhampirs? Here I go!

I cannot believe you’re caught up now. That is so awesome! Of course this story is pretty darn long. I’m actually on chapter 82, and still got so many more plans for this story. I love it too much to stop. 😯 😀 I think this must be the best story I’ve ever come up with (not to sound full of myself). Even my novels were never this good. Nor my short stories.

Hmmm. I’ll likely have them age since they’re not full vamps. So eventually they’d have to die, but wow that’ll be forever from now. Will be sad for Vaclav and Aubrey though… 😦
