One Hundred and Four…

One Hundred and Four: Rage Unbound

Warning: this chapter involves rape. So this chapter touches on a hot button issue. Do not read if you will become offended.

The actual rape scene begins 28 pictures down, and lasts for 6 screenshots. You may skip over that part if you like.

Contains harsh language.

Vaclav grasped her hand and whispered in her ear.

“I’m going out to feed. I’ll be back later. I love you.”

His mouth met hers.

Mmm. Delicious lips,” he said between smooches.

Quiet. I don’t know where Reznik is. He might hear you…

“Bye.”

Vaclav nodded and left.

Lauren fetched Azura from the swing and headed for the nursery.

The baby yawned.

“Mommy,” Azura said. “Night-night.”

“Yes, sweetheart. You’re going nighty-night. I love you.”

She pecked her on the forehead.

When Lauren started to leave, Azura whined; her arms outstretched.

“No, baby. It’s time to sleep. You’re sleepy.” She turned to leave, glancing at Lucifer before heading out the door.

The cutie was falling asleep sitting upright. Lauren chuckled.

A wave of nausea struck her as she entered the basement’s second level.

Maybe it had something to do with the ancient dead strewn across the floor.

Maybe it had to do with something else; aside from the new life growing inside her.

Footsteps echoed behind her. Someone else descended the steps.

Reznik.

He didn’t look very happy. In fact, tears stained his face.

No. No, no, no. Who in God’s name told him? Vaclav wasn’t supposed to tell him yet.

Lauren had the urge to run. But why? Reznik was her boyfriend. He wouldn’t hurt her, no matter how angry he was.

“It was because I didn’t give you enough sex, wasn’t it?”

“We didn’t mean for it to happen… I’m sorry.”

“You’re sorry? So am I. I thought you were different. I thought you were better than all those other sluts.” He chortled. “I never imagined that when I put that spell on Dad, that he’d end up falling for you. If I would’ve known that, I never would’ve done it. I would’ve let Dad keep on whining and crying over Mom.”

What’s he talking about? Lauren wondered.

“Fuck this shit. I won’t lose another girl. I fucking refuse to.” He sobbed for a moment. “And my own father… no less, knocked you up. I fucking hate BOTH of you.” His face became stoic, his eyes wide with fury.

Lauren had never been so terrified… not even when she was abducted by that Dempire so long ago.

Reznik raised his arms.

Enormous flames shot up, engulfed the area.

“Reznik, please! You’re better than this. You don’t want to really hurt me! I know you don’t!”

Heat seared her arms and legs. She backed away. However, it was not hurting Reznik; as though he were immune.

“You want sex? I’ll give it to you.” Another tear ran down. “I’ll fucking give you anything you want… babe.”

“Reznik, please.”

“You just said the magic word.” Reznik lunged.

She dashed away but it was pointless. Reznik easily overpowered her.

He grabbed her around the waist and lifted her up. Then he carried her to the bench.

He forced her down. Lauren struggled, knowing the entire time she wouldn’t be able to get away. Reznik was too strong. Not to mention supernaturally powerful.

His fingers dug into her thighs as he spread her legs apart. She heard the sound of his zipper being undone.

“This is what you wanted, baby.” He quickly moved against her. “I told you I’d give you anything you want. I fucking love you, Lauren.”

“I wish… you still loved me.”

Lauren stopped fighting.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered. “I swear I didn’t mean to hurt you.”

“But you did hurt me. So now I’m gonna hurt you…” His body slammed into hers, creating sharp pains that radiated into her stomach.

As if getting tired, he eased up. The pain ceased.

“At least you can’t get pregnant.” He crazily laughed. “Since you’re already knocked up with my Dad’s baby.”

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.”

A few minutes later, Reznik finished. It was over.

Heavy silence followed, except for the crackling of fire.

The crackling halted.

Reznik mounted the steps.

Lauren waited several additional minutes before getting up.

She arose, petrified that Reznik would come back.

She hid in one of the bathrooms and locked the door.

Thank God Reznik didn’t hurt me in front of the kids.

Lauren bolted to the toilet and threw up.

Vaclav rapped on the bathroom door.

“Lauren, are you in there?”

Silence.

He knocked again.

“Lauren, I know you’re in there. I can smell your blood. Why aren’t you saying anything? I’m getting worried.”

He busted through the barrier.

“Lauren, are you okay?”

No answer.

He knelt down before her. “What’s wrong, my angel? Why won’t you speak?”

“Reznik,” she said, her voice low.

“What about Reznik?” Dread permeated his conscience.

“He found out. He got pissed off… he—he raped me. I thought he was going to kill me.”

Took several seconds before that information sunk in. Once it did, Vaclav was stunned. He didn’t know what to think or how to react.

My God. My own son did this?

Jakub’s face invaded Vaclav’s mind. Jakub. Reznik is like Jakub?

No. Not Reznik… he cannot be capable of doing this.

Reznik, I can’t believe you could be like Jakub. I refuse to believe it.

Yet I must believe it. Lauren would never lie.

Go now. Go find Reznik.

Vaclav raced to his son’s bedroom.

“Reznik? Reznik!

“What have you done to Lauren? What have you done to yourself?

He’d slashed his wrist. The razor rested upon the floor. Blood marked its edge.

Vaclav knew what to do. He crouched, grasped Reznik’s wrist and raised it to his lips.

It was the healing technique he used on Aubrey when they first met.

Blood shrank and vanished as the wound healed.

“I’m sorry, Dad. I hurt Lauren. I don’t know why I did it.”

Vaclav sat on the bed. He held Reznik just like he did when he was a baby.

“You are my firstborn with Aubrey. No matter what you do, I’ll continue to love you.” He stroked his son’s face. “And I’m sorry you found out about Lauren and I.”

“Why did you do it, Dad? I put a spell on you so you could get over Mom. If I had any idea you’d fall for my girlfriend, I never would’ve bothered. No good deed goes unpunished.”

“I don’t know what to say. Except that it was something that happened. Lauren and I found each other amidst our mutual grief. I was grieving over Aubrey, and she was heart-broken over you. I’m sorry. Neither of us wanted to hurt you. I swear it.”

“Lauren thought you no longer loved her,” Vaclav continued. “And when I discovered you in bed with that immortal, it made me very angry. I didn’t believe you treated Lauren with respect or love. I thought she deserved… better.”

“You’re right. She did deserve better, Dad. But you didn’t have to be the one to give it to her.”

“I know.”

“We’ll get through this, Son. We will. We always do.”
