Twenty-Seven: The Hunger

WARNING: contains sexually explicit content and nudity. Seriously, this one is bad… bad… bad…! The bad stuff begins after Aubrey finishes feeding her baby, if you want to read up to that point because there are some revelations about Jakub, etc.  Also, there will be a revelation at the very end of the story. “I remembered our daughter was due around this time,” he sarcastically said. “What is her name?”

“Katerina. I looked up old Czech names on the internet.”

“Thank you.”

Aubrey stared at him. “How did you find me?”

“I saw visions of you in the hospital giving birth,” he replied. “I knew the hospital was in the valley. I searched until I found exactly where you lived.”

“Don’t worry about Madison. I sent her home,” he added.

“I’m feeling ravenous, but decided not to hurt your babysitter.”

Wow. Thanks, she thought.

“I’ve missed you, my essence.” His tone sounded caustic, almost angry. “This temporary arrangement has lasted quite some time.”

“Look, I’m sorry. I’ve just been… procrastinating about moving back.”

Kat began to fuss. Aubrey knew she was due to be fed.

Vaclav stood, soothing the infant.

He handed her to Aubrey.

“By now, I’m sure you know how to calm her,” he said. “It’s been about 150 years since I’ve tried to soothe an infant.”

Aubrey sat on the bed, lowering the straps on her dress. Then she pulled the comforter around her midriff to hide as she breast fed the baby.

“Why are you covering up?”

“For discretional purposes,” she said.

Vaclav smiled; then grew serious again.

“How have you been?” he asked. “Do you need more money?”

“I guess. Maybe a little bit,” she said.

Vaclav stepped over the dresser and placed a wad of cash on its surface.

Then he turned back to Aubrey.

“I told Jakub to leave the manor,” he said.

“Why? What did he do?”

“When John Lansing forced those hallucinations on you, only humans could see them. Jakub lied and told you he also saw the wolves. I believe my own son tried to lure you to John, knowing that he’d try to kill you.”

His revelation sent shock waves through Aubrey. She never dreamed that Vaclav’s own son could’ve partaken in John’s sadistic plans.

 “Why would he do that?”

“Jakub and I have never seen eye-to-eye. He doesn’t like me. In fact, he’s always hated me. I don’t know why. I suspect he wanted you dead just to get to me.”

Simple enough, yet so very cold and cunning.

“You didn’t realize he was capable of doing this?”

“No. I knew he was a little shit, so to speak, but never knew he’d try to hurt you.”

His face softened as he added, “this was something else that I caused, and I’m sorry. I can’t really blame you for not wanting to return to Shadowvale. But as I’ve said, the valley isn’t exactly safe either.”

“Either way, I don’t want to go back to Shadowvale,” she admitted. “But I do love you Vaclav. You were my first love.” Pleasant sensations rushed through her body just thinking about it.

“And you know how I feel about you,” he muttered.

He walked toward her. Aubrey’s blanket started to fall off, and she jerked it back up.

The closer he got, the more she noticed his attractive scent. It reminded her of Axe, a men’s body spray Shawn once used. How it turned her on.

She watched as Vaclav slid the blanket downward; then his fingers glided up her thigh.

Okay, she thought. I think I know what this means.

“I think she’s finished feeding,” he hinted. He took the sleeping baby from her.

“I’ll be right back,” he said.

Gently, he placed Kat in her pram.

“Me and your mommy have some things to do,” he cooed.

He was very quiet after returning to the bedroom. His luminous eyes met hers, staring as if attempting to hypnotize her… wanting her to want him.

It wasn’t necessary.

She nervously smiled. Her dress lay in a heap around her waist, and she felt beyond exposed. Vaclav’s eyes drifted to her body.

He knelt next to the bed.

Vaclav stroked her back and shoulder. Then he began touching her all over… his lips moving across her nipples, neck, and mouth.

Electric currents shot up her body, her spine, causing a warmth between her legs.

Seconds later, he was between them.

Sounds of ecstasy emanated from his throat.

Eight months had passed since she’d felt him inside her. Thusly, her hunger for him was insatiable.

“You feel so good,” he whispered, his movements making the mattress squeak.

“Don’t get me pregnant again,” she said. “I mean it.”

He looked away; then muttered: “I won’t. Don’t worry.”

His lips found hers.

Oh, my God… you are so incredible, Aubrey thought. His thrusts became forceful. Aubrey cried out.

He stared down at her; then squeezed his eyes shut. She knew he was only seconds away from climax.

“I… love… you.” His body arched against hers.

Vaclav rammed her for several more seconds. Then at the last possible moment, he pulled out.

He reached down to finish himself off.

His entire body shuddering, Vaclav grunted and moaned as his seed fired onto Aubrey’s stomach.

After resting, he sat on the edge of the bed.

Then he rummaged around for his trousers.

Vaclav found his pants, pulled them up and zipped them.

Meanwhile, Aubrey slipped back into her dress.

Vaclav. Still hot as ever, she thought trying to catch her breath.

Vaclav joined her on the other side of the bed. She looked down, feeling a little embarrassed.

Would there ever be a time when she could resist his seduction? Probably not.

Vaclav grabbed her and enclosed her in his arms.

“I have something to tell you later,” he said.

“What is it?”

“You’ll find out.”

Vaclav spent a second night at Aubrey’s apartment.

He lifted Kat into the air and twirled her around.

Meanwhile, Aubrey wondered what he was planning to tell her. He never broached the subject after mentioning it. How annoying.

“How’s my baby girl? How’s my baby girl?” he chanted in a silly voice.

It was an odd picture, seeing the leader of a vampire clan behaving like that. He acted like any normal father.

Who could’ve guessed?

He went over and placed Kat in her pram; then returned to the sofa.

“What were you going to tell me?” Aubrey finally asked.

“I have Reznik at the manor.”

Her stomach dropped.

Vaclav put his arm around her, pulling her close. “Now you can come back… and we’ll be a family. It was always meant to be.”

Aubrey felt shocked, numb. But the bait of her son was certainly enticing enough, and the urge to bite was irresistible.

“Yes,” she agreed. “It was always meant to be.”
